DIALYSIS CENTER REPORT
Coding and compliant billing for hospital based outpatient hemodialysis centers is extremely complex. This is sample report performed by TFG on hospital based outpatient hemodialysis. This report reviews and analyzes charge entry, billing, and reimbursement as well as identifies procedures and drugs included in the composite rate in addition to those excluded from the composite rate and separately billable.
MS-DRG IMPACT ANALYSIS
In October of 2007 CMS enacted one of the most dramatic restructuring of the diagnosis-related groups (DRGs) used in the inpatient prospective payment system since its inception. The restructuring (adjusting DRG weights based on the severity of a patient’s condition) or MS-DRG had the potential to dramatically effect hospital revenues. This is a sample report performed by TFG analyzing the potential hospital impact without coding, case management, and physician education regarding MS-DRG. TFG was able to show a $220,000 improvement utilizing our proprietary MS-DRG educational intervention plan.
